Christmas Family Forest Fun SOLD OUT
December 1, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm| £5.20
Age: Suitable for families with children aged 2 years plus
Event Description: A day in the forest for families, we will be having 3.5 hours of forest fun all with a Christmas theme! There will be lots of activities to take part in all based on free play as this is the best way for children to learn, explore and discover, be imaginative and creative whilst having fun with their families.
Have a go at creating lots of different natural Christmas crafts to take home and decorate your house with, search around our forest on a Christmas punch hunt, take part in the winter trail, make a Stick Man and of course use our swing, obstacle course and hammocks and play in the mud kitchen!
There will be so much to do, you certainly won't get bored, the question is will you have time to do everything?! Our aim is to get as many families outdoors having fun so why not come and join in the fun! We will stop for half an hour lunch, please bring a rug and a packed lunch as we will be eating on the forest floor (or if it is too cold we have a classroom to eat in or the covered public picnic area can be used). We will gather together at the end of the session for a fire toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate! There may even be time for a Christmas sing song around the fire!
Please note this is a self-led event and parents must assist their children at all times.
Event Info: We are outdoors for the whole 4 hour session so please come dressed for the winter weather. You may get muddy so a spare change of clothes is recommended. Please bring snow suits/waterproofs, hats, gloves, scarves and outdoor footwear. Please bring a packed lunch and a rug and blanket to sit on.
Please meet at the education centre which is located behind TRACS cycle hire.
All events are non-refundable unless cancelled by Forest Explorers or Forestry England in which case a full refund will be given.
Parking: Parking charges apply, please visit www.forestry.gov.uk/delamere for more information on parking charges. Please note the forest will be busy during school holidays so please arrive in good time to allow time to park. If the car parks are full you may have to walk from the overflow field car park or even Whitefield car park (across the main road) so please bare this in mind when bringing young children!
