Age: Over 8 years (7 years if regular attendees and have used tools before)

Event Description: This event is for home educated children and their families only.

In this new event we will be looking at the axe tool. We will look at the tool and learn about what it can be used for before moving on to using the tool to create an item. We may look at tool maintenance if time allows.

Please note there will be regular breaks during this event to allow for recovery after using the tool. It is dangerous to use any tool if we have tired muscles). We will have a fire going where we can toast snacks and have drinks during break times.

Event Info: This event is for home educated children and their families only. Please do not book a ticket if your child is not home educated.

Please meet us at the picnic area outside the Linmere visitor centre cafe at Delamere Forest.
This session will take place outdoors so please come dressed for the outdoor weather, waterproof coats, wellies or boots, long sleeves and trousers are essential.
Please arrive in good time so the event can start on time. All events are non-refundable and go ahead in all weathers except high winds. Refunds will only be given if events are cancelled by Forest Explorers and Forestry England.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at this event.

Parking: Please park in the cafe car park, at the Linmere visitor centre.
Parking charges apply.
