We offer one off events on a variety of forest related topics, and also a regular monthly Home Education group for children aged 4-10 years and 11 years plus
Home Education Events
The events we run are as advertised on our events page. Topics such as Tree days, Vikings, Stone Age, Bushcraft, Stay, Wildcraft Adventure game, Wildlife & Survival, Woodcraft, Navigation, Over 11s only and more!
If you miss an event you particularly want to experience , please contact us as we may be able to run it again. We are very flexible. Similarly, if there is something you wish to learn about, please ask if we can design an event.
Monthly Home Education Club
We run a monthly group for children aged 4-10 years and a group for 11 - 16 years. There are currently 2 places available on the 11+ group and we have plenty of places available for our younger group. Sessions run 10am-2pm and cost £25 per session.
Adults must accompany their child and assist on the 4-10 years group, over 11s do not need to be accompanied.

We meet once a month on approximately the 3rd week of the month (subject to availability.) We enjoy learning about nature and the forest and survival skills. The children meet each other on a regular basis so strong friendships are formed. Sometimes our group ask us to repeat something they particularly enjoyed or cover something new and we can be very flexible!
Times
Our regular Monthly Home Education Group runs in term-time only.

We meet at the car park at 10am for a prompt start at 10.15am and aim to finish each event at around 2pm with a break for lunch, unless otherwise advertised at point of booking.
What to bring
Please ensure children are well dressed for the outdoors, a waterproof coat, wellies or sturdy boots are essential. During the colder months please bring additional layers, hats and gloves. Sun cream and insect repellent in summer are recommended.

Location
Our site is in Sandiway. Address Girlguiding Cheshire Forest, Pool Lane, Sandiway, Northwich, Cheshire, CW8 2DR.
The car park is at the very top of the drive, please continue driving all the way up and enter the Girlguiding Car Park.
We meet and sign in at the car park.
Parking
Please park in the car park. To access the car park, drive up Pool Lane signposted Petty Pool Outdoor Activity Centre, drive all the way to the top of the drive and into the Girlguiding Car Park. Do not turn off at any point on the drive.
Car parking is free all day.
